In an act of commercial desperation the previous owners replaced to the roof to rescue the house - but only to preserve being able to sell it.

This winemaker's house in stone from the late 19th Century was in a very poor state but the location was central to the village making it a perfect holiday rental investment. This was a complete top-down renovation. The design was challenging as the building was a blunt wedge shape with no right angles anywhere. A small external courtyard was an asset. We added a summer kitchen and concrete pool. In the end this 5 bedroom 5 bathroom property is a great balance of renovation and new features and packed with utility value for maximum rental appeal.

There's no doubt that this property would have fallen into terminal decline without being rescued, only the replacement of the roof - an act of emergency desperation to arrest decline by the previous owner put the brakes on the rot. Thanks to foreign investors this property has a new life. It's a gem of a building in a great central location. A very fulfilling project.
